Media Skills Development Workshop
TMT’s Media Skills Development Workshop is highly interactive, customized and sets the foundation. Far from an entry level workshop, it’s ideal for any organization representative who may face the news media in a planned or unplanned situation. Even those in your organization who don’t talk to the news media will learn how to handle them, and help prepare your spokespersons for effective message delivery.
Comprehensive and Customized
We work with each trainee – or team of trainees – according to his or her specific needs. We talk with you about the experience you have had with the media and the interviews you have given. Each training program is unique and is targeted to your specific challenges and opportunities. We use on–camera interviews to provide constructive critiques, with the emphasis on helping trainees to improve their technique and poise.
TMT’s Media Skills Development Workshop has three primary objectives
- Introduce and practice the concepts of message development and message delivery in the context of a news media interview. (Also, understanding how to work with professional communicators in developing messages.)
- Introduce the concepts, principles and strategies necessary to successfully conduct news media interviews.
- Implement newly acquired interview skills in a supportive, safe environment that allows for mistakes and constructive criticism.
